Venus is so important in your chart, I really can’t stress this enough. What is Venus in your chart?  You probably think about Venus as being the planet of love, beauty and money- and you are right. But in human development Venus is a little more than that. When you are born you are born as your Sun sign- you ego, your father and your true self. Your Moon is your home and mother, your nurturing and your emotional learning in childhood. Mercury is our skill set in later years- when you learn to speak and make connections with others that are called friendships.   All this is your base- what made you who you are very early in life. Venus is the love you are able to give and receive based on all the other experiences and connections you have had- because Venus rules your values  and they developed as a result of the nurturing from parents ,friends ,brothers sisters and the community and country at large. There are only 12 signs for your Venus to reside, so what makes your Venus your own is so much more:  The house and the aspects and the whole chart have to be taken into consideration. Nevertheless, here is a simple but true break down of Venus placements according to what makes you feel good and what can help you when you don’t feel love.

Venus in Aries:  Love needs to be open, based on honesty and without heavy restrictions. Your learned to give others affection and physical connection without limits. You are very warm and giving without thought and because of that you expect others to give the same in return. They may have called you selfish for wanting to get your own way, never realizing you are more than happy to return affection in return. Like a child you play with fire and you get burned, so you must learn that not everyone is worthy of you. You grow up and develop pride that hides behind it the hurt and burns of your past. To heal you must let go and open tis flood of passion to the world- your will suffer less being able to be yourself.

Venus in Taurus: Your love needs to be real, something that cannot be taken away from you. Empty promises force you to turn cold to others. You are fully capable of loving yourself as you are in the flesh- misgivings, shortcomings and sensual cravings. You can offer the same gift to others- not unconditional love but accepting love. You learned that your touch is healing magic, that friends run to you for sweet comfort and that the simple things in life can save a heart from breaking. You give your body and only then your soul and when you don you don’t know how to take it back. If you are forced to take your broken heart from another- you will feel empty and in return would try to fill up the space with sensual comfort. But yours is a loving nature and living without expressing it isn’t worth it at all for you true values are based on love.

Venus in Gemini: Your love is learned through mirroring others, if they were good mirrors in childhood then you would be the easy- going of them all, and if not then you will choose to go it alone.  In fact, you are easy going either way- just not happy. Your true need is that of a partner in crime, always someone to be there for you. That someone can be of any age, race or gender but they must treat you with acceptance.  Through them you will learn your gifts of fun and self-expression, until you are older. When you are older this need would turn into a passion and secret quest: to find your soulmate. At heart you are a romantic, and your soulmate is always right around the corner. To be happy you should not make promises you can’t keep. Don’t love those who ask that of you for that would be your defeat. Instead, live day by day, inventing your soulmate in your dreams and finding pieces of this ideal friend in your reality.

Venus in Cancer: Your love is endless; you have the true ability to lose yourself in the emotion of love. You only knew this type of love towards either in childhood or before you were born and either way it’s not a very secure knowing. Therefore, you feel secure in your emotions only when you give them to others- you can trust yourself but not others. Learning to receive caring and nurture from others is your early task. You may shy away from it in many ways, in private you wonder why love like yours cannot be found.  It can be of course. but only if you learn that you are strong. Stronger than others for you love is endless and can survive anything. In early adulthood you masked your emotions in order to get by perhaps by staying a child and not growing up, perhaps by growing up too fast. Your fear is all that is stopping you and once you let go- your ability to give and receive love is beyond compare.

Venus in Leo: Love is for those who are worth it, is what you have learned. One must win love before they have any entitlement for it. And so you made sure as a child that you are worth it, that you are the best- and only then were you allowed to enjoy others affection. For you love is always conditional and dangerous. Being loved unconditionally by someone who doesn’t recognize your worth, is the outmost of failures- you rather have no love at all. And so you develop your own fantasy:  where someone wins your heart. They must slay the dragon and kill the witch, and of course you are the prize.  When this does not happen, you are secretly sure this is your fault- that you are not good enough. If you only open your eyes you will see how everyone in your path is more than ready to slay the dragon- they just think they are not good enough for you.  Love is drama and song for you. Your greatest gift is turning the grayest of stories into a fairytale- by making anyone feel like they are the best.

Venus in Virgo: You don’t need much, just a little of that one very particular something, right? When you were young affection wasn’t given easily. Not that you weren’t loved but circumstances may have required various rules and limits on that affection. As you grew up you developed you system of right and wrong times to express love- probably as a reaction to you upbringing and sometimes in an opposite direction. If affection was cold, you may have no boundaries at all and if you were smothered then you set strict lines in your relationships.  As a result you allow yourself to express love through service or in a situation that has its own rules of the game: working relations, marriage and yes even affairs that have their own rules, don’t they?  For you to find true love and be happy you must respect your partner and the values they hold and you must know they need you.  You may fall into the trap of analyzing until all emotion is gone- for you must know it is the right time for you to open your heart and how will you know this if not through the mind?  But nevertheless you will keep to the rules, loyally giving more and more- even if no respect or love is received.  For you to be happy you must make your number one rule that of receiving it in return.

Venus in Libra: Love is about harmony. For you it is the space where balance is reached and conclusions stay in place. You are always in two places at once, trying to decide what road to choose next. Your heart loves everyone without reserve and yet you realize early on that this state of affairs isn’t ok with other people.  They ask you to choose; maybe it was your family maybe just life. You had to make a choice you could not make and so you never did.  You grew up, and made the easy choice- love what is beautiful for beautiful is always good. Beauty was the answer for the unbalance between mind, body and heart. Your hate of conflict meant you would seek where you belong- that group that would not require you to make difficult choices and that would be easily affectionate towards you.  As you grow up, this isn’t going to be enough. You will seek partners that challenge you, forcing you to develop a strong sense of individual identity. When that happens, you will find a partner in the true sense of the word. Someone who is amazing, who will join you according to your beliefs and goals in life, maybe an intellectual kind of love? For the best analogy for you kind is that ancient Greek idea where from physical love you learn to know the spiritual kind.

Venus in Scorpio: Your love isn’t open for all to see, only for the privileged.  When very young you were much protected, some sad truth was concealed from you. You learned that nothing is as it seems- including love. Being the way you are you promised yourself to protect others from the frightening emotions that you have, emotions born from the disclosure of the difficult truth, that same one that was concealed from you by your caregivers. Love in your heart wasn’t something you could express and so you let it grow within, becoming deeper and deeper- more complicated as the years went by.

By the time you grew up all you knew was that it wasn’t simple for you to become involved with people.  Nevertheless you wanted to protect and fight for them, your early romantic involvement may have been with someone weaker or in need of your help. That someone may not have been able to let you have your own weak spots and so it ended. You perceived this as betrayal and closed off your brave heart. You came into your power, not much later and learned that sex is your tool for expressing the depth, the void the need. And yet you wanted something pure and true, something that is based on deep trust that needs not words. Secret affaires are just a mockery of that, but it takes time to figure out.  I you do figure it out- yours if the kind of love where one is ready to die for the other.

What do Hannibal and law and Order have in common? Scorpio of course

Many of you may know the show or at least heard about it, and for good reason. The show focuses on a highly intelligent psychopath doctor Hannibal Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen), who happens to also cook gourmet meals from his victims. Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) is an empath with some issues…They both are there to solve the crimes. In itself not too different than most in the criminal genre including TV shows like: Law and order or Criminal Minds. To make story short this show is not for the weak of stomach. As someone with high level of empathy myself, I found the images of body parts and death hard to watch. Although i really I love shows that feature an in depth look at a character’s psychology and I don’t mind murder and crime in the mix but this show crosses the line for me.

Anyway, the cool thing is the astrology of this show’s two main characters. When I see shows like that all I can think of is: Scorpio, Scorpio…and amazingly it is the very much the case. If detective shows had a horoscope it would be in the signs of Virgo, Scorpio and Aries.

Dick wolf the creator of: Law and Order, Chicago P.D, SVU is a Scorpio Moon, Venus and Jupiter.

Hannibal has two main characters for three seasons, that make the show (not including all the dead and abused people) and for the sake of TV they are an Astrological couple.Hugh Dancy who plays the troubled empath that can get into the head of any psychopath is a Gemini with Scorpio Moon and Hannibal played by Mads Mikkelsen is a double Scorpio: Sun, and Moon with a strong Capricorn stellium that allows him to play the cold, sophisticated doctor. They are promised to understand each other and get along very well. Hugh also has his Mars in Aries which after Scorpio is a most common sign associated with heroic action and violence.

Dont Worry Virgo: Jupiter Likes You

Jupiter is the planet of expansion, specifically the expansion of the higher mind. Mercury rules the communications of ideas but its Jupiter that rules the learning that is required. How do we learn? We need to expand the limits of our minds so that new ideas can come in. The real purpose of Jupiter is to allow you to reach the highest spiritual potential in this life.

Jupiter in your natal chart is the equivalent of a lucky charm that pushes you towards something better. But this “lucky charm” has its own rules and limits mainly that it should be used to expand your soul and mind that is true even if Jupiter give you money. Jupiter can make you rich and famous but only so you can become better through it. Let’s say you suddenly become rich during a Jupiter transit- it still has a higher purpose you must find out.

Today I am going to talk about the restricted Jupiter, the Jupiter that falls into a Sign, House or Aspect that doesn’t allow expansion. For example, Jupiter in the 6th or in Virgo is restricted because this places work against the nature of Jupiter.  Virgo likes to look at details, making things smaller and as I said Jupiter likes things bigger.

So what does it mean to have your Jupiter in Virgo? It means you will find your spiritual development in the Virgo realm, in itself there nothing wrong with that. People with this placement do well and feel good serving others. The type of service would be seen by the house Jupiter is in. In either case, Jupiter likes to teach you things and here it allows you to be a student of the spiritual in a very material way. You may join groups that study together, you may read allot or work in service of others who need help.

The problem is going to be that your thinking is very details and deep but it doesn’t seem to give you the bigger picture. You see all the little pieces of the puzzle and you understand each of them very well but you don’t always know how to put them together.

What to do? Embrace the house placement and you will be able to make the puzzle whole. Jupiter in the 3rd house for example will make an amazing teacher, writer and speaker about philosophy, religion and media. You have Jupiter in the 5th house? You will do well to give light and humor to others in a creative way; this is the creative teacher or the laughing Dalai Lama.

The real truth here is that Jupiter in Virgo is capable of bringing so much kindness and happiness to others in the world. You bring your lucky charm to serve others- and you love it for in allows you to grow and learn. So pleas for the sake of humanity, embrace the limitations of life and you will see how giving can be your reward. You will find yourself feeling whole with Jupiter and with knowing your true purpose in life.

As you know, your rising rules your appearance, mannerisms, hand gestures and how others see you. The Chart as a whole can say a lot about how you look: A Pluto in the first house? Magnetic eyes, Jupiter? Makes you fat, Mercury? You look ten years younger than your age. Any aspects to the rising will have an effect as well. Venus and Neptune rule your fashion and sense of beauty, and yet it’s the rising sign that matters. Over the years I practiced enough to be able to guess peoples sign from how they look, move and dress. So today let’s talk fashion and appearance!

I am going to start with Scorpio, why? It’s just an easy one to spot. Scorpio rising people are the ones that enter a room and your head turns. They don’t have perfect faces like Libra rising has, nor are they as glamorous as the Leo’s or unique like the Sags. But they have this something that makes them magnetic, interesting and hard to ignore. The Scorpio rising gives a person otherwise light hearted in personality- an intense gaze, slightly hooded eyes and usually not straight nose. The face is not a smiling face but a more like this (not that they don’t smile but even when they do i’ts still a sharp look) Like Beyonce who is a Virgo/Scorpio rising wiht a Scorpio Moon:

The body pose is fierce but in a quite way and the movements are also under the radar. They seem composed but can suddenly erupt in a faster movement and surprise you. The most obvious characteristic is that they are SEXY- it’s all in the hypnotic eyes and the energy around them. adamAfter all the dark red lipstick was invented my the scorpio rising similiar to the Aries rising- the style is blod and sexy. Like this lady: Dita Von Teese who is also a Libra and a burlesque dancer, model, costume designer. She had the perfect rising for a Venusian type of person that uses her own beauty and artistic talent to make money (Venus loves money). Her style is moe a Libra style of vintage clothes but the way it shows her body and the history of it? all Scorpio.

This rising knows how to dress up in order to win (Beyonce anyone?) and they are fearless about wearing nothing or anything. They also don’t care about what they wear that much they just know how to use it. Also they do look creep as hell at times and even more so if they have Pluto in the first house. Th strange thing is that like most scorpio people they can look very gentle but for the eyes that tell the real story.

In general they look like the vampire: They look aloof, hard to approach, pale not matter the skin color, sharp bone structure, amazing eyes and noses with character. They tend to look like a vampire because they enjoy that look and how it affects the people around them. Those who choose a more simple fashion still tend to have something otherworldly about them. It can repel and attract people- but either way they don’t care what you think.

Uranus Square Mercury: The Incomplete Outsider

This post is completely unplanned for today, which isn’t surprising considering it is about the change causing Uranus. I was really going more towards Pluto, Scorpio and the like for my next subject…But ok, what Uranus wants Uranus gets- or maybe not?

Recently I was doing a reading for a person online that had this aspect and was asking for help dealing with it. The problem in their own words was not that they feel others don’t get them and that the whole world in fact completely misunderstands them. In traditional Astrology this aspect in a person’s chart is bad news.

It promises they will have a “scattered mind” a mess in the head really. But maybe you don’t know this but I’m a positive Astrologer- I use chart reading the way a therapist would (if they were not a therapist but an Astrologer) and I like offering practical advice more than delivering bad news to people.Anyway, to find a solution to this person’s problem or to yours if you have any Uranus problems in your chart, I needed to understand what the problem was. Uranus is a symbol of genius, electricity, Frankenstein, rebellion, change and anything new and technological.

It is the planet of our age- the age of Aquarius and also of your computer breaking down. Uranus is ruled by Aquarius and in many ways is kind of like Saturn that co-ruler of this sign for it likes to make life hard for you when it transits.

Aquarius is also the sign of fame and it has a big ego, without this ego no one would dare and try anything. Try to be innovative or try to become Elvis Presley (who had this aspect). But let’s face it: You are not Elvis or Madonna and Uranus squaring your Mercury is only resulting in issues. The issue being that you can’t express your thoughts to the world without feeling like an outsider. People don’t get you- or so you think. Part of that is that you don’t get yourself until you express this energy, this chain of crazy thoughts and ideas. But Uranus likes change so what happens is that the second you do express yourself- it doesn’t matter. You already don’t think it’s true and you feel that you must do or say something to make others contradict you!

You do this and they act like they don’t understand you and this keep the dangerous cycle going. The only reason this keep on happening is because your sense of self is so tied up to being right- to the big ego. You can’t stand to be wrong and you take the blame and self-punish. The punishment is being the outcast, the outsider, the rebel, the crazy girl or guy.

I think this isn’t fair to anyone and I want to suggest it doesn’t have to be so. What you have is Uranus in your chart and that equals an energy that is best used on a big scale. You have so much to offer to the world if you only knew.  Your thoughts that you can’t express- they are not always right but they always have the right to exist. That is the truth and the second you realize that then you will not be afraid to express your mind to the world without causing a conflict with it. This is the truth and the one that can save you.

My best advice to you is to always say what you think but without attaching ego to it. Let your crazy out but without attaching your sense of self to it. To make it easy for you, I would suggest choosing an 11th house setting: A group with a cause. When you speak for the cause then you don’t care if you are right or wrong.You are not an outsider anymore and you are not alone in what you say. Find this platform and speak up- the world would thank you for that.

Your Moon sign, that mysterious living force within you. The moon just like the mind is always shifting for it is never in its full power and yet never defeated. Your inner emotional stability or lack of it, your secret dreams and hopes and your nightly trips to the fridge for a piece of cake; all fall under the magic spell of the Moon.

We all know how our home life shaped who we are today, but we don’t always ask how this knowledge can help us. I want to tell you the most important thing about your Moon placement: Learn to take care of it, nurture and love it. For even if it shows that you had a great mother and family life and were much loved, it will also show where the nurture you received wasn’t the best one for you. As adults we must learn to take care of our own needs and this includes our own homes. But the real home is within: the home of the soul, that place where you feel most safe and comforted. A Moon that isn’t accepted and well taken care of will result in many problems. This can be weight gain due to emotional eating, depression, mood swings and anger. This may sound like the domain of the Sign of Cancer and indeed it is, as this is the ruling sign of our Moon. The Moon is your shadow and it hates being repressed. Self-expression is the key for a healthy emotional life. The sign and house placement will tell you what the best way for you to feel good is.

I will be happy to answer individual questions about you Moon as there is much more to be said. Here I will outline a few simple guide lines that can help.

Fire sign Moon: Needs to be extroverted or it might as well not exist. The fire Moon craves exchange with others in order to be at peace. Earth sign Moon: Needs a stable space in life that doesn’t involve rapid emotional demands. A stressful environment is very difficult for this Moon to handle. It also needs to be surrounded by familiar things and habits. Balancing the new and old is important.

Water sign Moon: Needs time alone to regain energy and process emotions. Creative work that is done alone is best. Working with too many people can be emotionally draining. The intuition needs expression in daily life and must not be ignored.

Matthew Macconaughey is an American actor, born on November 4th 1969. He is well known for roles in romantic comedies  such as: The Wedding Planner 2001, How to Lose a Guy In 10 Days 2003.and in Dramatic roles in The Lincoln Lawyer 2011, Interstellar 2014 and the acclaimed Dallas Buyers Club 2013.

Mcconaghy started enjoying great success later in his career, before that he studied in the University of Texas where he majored in communications and wanted to continue and study law. His breakthrough role was in Dazed and Confused 1992 and after a few roles in lighthearted comedies, he begin staring in much more dramatic roles.

Matthew is a Scorpio with a Virgo moon and Gemini Ascendant. The Gemini rising sign might explain why he kept being cast as a romantic playboy in comedies in his early career. Gemini is the ultimate playboy, for along with Libra it craves partnerships and needs to be stimulated or it gets bored and leaves. Matthew also has both Jupiter and Venus in the sign of Libra. He chooses intense roles that require mental and physical preparation. I if didn’t know this person was a actor I would suggest they become a doctor, awyer or detective. Someone that can break things down in order to build them better- this can be the Law or the human body. But then you see that he has his MC in Aquarius and this changes things. People with this placement tend to need freedom in their career. If look at the Venus and Jupiter in Libra in this context. It is evident that this is someone that values individuality as part of their philosophy of life. Venus speaks of our values Jupiter of our beliefs and here the theme of partnership is evident. But in the context of the MC and Scorpio sun: The type of partnership is the kind that allows others the freedom to be themselves, both mentally and emotionally. Aquarius is the ultimate sign of fame and the public love people with this MC, so I think a great deal of long term success is promised for Matthew McConaughey.

I would also like to take a look at Saturn in Taurus in the 12th house. In general I find that Taurus is a good position for the planet of limitations and stability – it is also slow to change and very stable. But the 12th house is hard for any planet to be in. It’s like saying that stability is not to be found in life. It is much harder to access the qualities of Taurus and Saturn if it’s in this house. A person needs to struggle to find that place within them that is stable. Macounghy is already dominated by Air signs and the very emotional Scorpio- so this may be a problem. Thankfully he has the Virgo ability to work long and hard in order to reach his goals. And even better is having the beautiful Libra Venus and Jupiter in the 5th house. Pisces is the opposite of Virgo as it embodies: transcendence and emotions -it’s anything but precise. The Pisces cannot be pinned down, it’s wishy washy and likes to run away into some other world. It has been a surprising discovery but one I am very sure of. Venus in Capricorn results in some very bad aesthetic preferences. What is Venus in Capricorn? It is all the blond wigs, fake nails, skimpy clothes and slutty looks, overflowing with vulgarity at its best. And yet, this is a good placement in a chart that does promise success in artistic fields and in a career in general.


Maybe this explains why how biggest stars in music look a little vulgar. But joking aside, this is indeed a very interesting phenomenon. What is happening here? My theory is that Venus as the planet of values, is overworked by the workaholic Capricorn. The result is a striving for beauty that is completely superficial and exaggerated. The Capricorn wants a good result-he invests in what society considers beautiful but without looking to see the reasons behind it. This investment can look almost clown-like as a result. It is not that it is unattractive-in fact these individuals are naturally beautiful!


They make themselves ugly but they can not see it! Venus is clouded by the judgment of Capricorn and it can not always measure beauty. Unlike the Libra or Taurus: this placement results in a completely unbalanced view of beauty and proportion. In taking all that society at a given moment considers stylish, sexy, popular but without matching it to any value of substance. This is the definition of vulgarity. To make matters worse-the Capricorn is a sign of the past-the conventions long gone. So this is the girl that still thinks that the Pamela Anderson look is in style.
In man this placement results in them liking that look I just described-they like woman that look “cheap” (think the movie Pretty Woman). In women, a lack of taste is strong-and yet they manage to be sexy to most. For this placement doesn’t lack confidence in love and in their own attractiveness…Perhaps sadly so.


The real problem is in the fact that at heart, these individuals are very conservative as they appear. And so they attract the wrong kind of attention and relationship and even abuse. The men don’t understand why they end up with a woman that they don’t want to marry or be loyal in the traditional sense. The women don’t know why they are not taken seriously and why they attract the wrong people. Sexually speaking, this sign tends to adopt all the dirt and scary aspect of sex. But they don’t enjoy it-they only play the part. I don’t mean to say they are sexually intense like the Scorpio or even Aries. Rather they play a part they think others would like: But what the majority likes happens to be bad taste.

The 8th house is the house of rebirth. Ruled by Scorpio it has all the mysterious characteristics of Pluto associated with it.This is not an easy house for any planet to be in,and yet its very powerful. This placement is like a dark cave,a deep pit with no light. Its an underground placement,so any planet is basically dropped and hidden in the 8th house. A planet no matter the sign that is in the 8th is going to be a “secret”. The potential and the true character is going to be very private and very confusing. Why confusing? mainly because at first it is hidden from you! As you grow older and wiser you would slowly unravel and reveal your own secret self. The planet would show you where you would have to change and grow.

The change through the 8th house is the kind the asks you to die. You must die in order to be reborn, your soul must rise form the dark cave that contains many  desires . Like those of the 8th house: Money,sex and control over others. Then the soul must be born again in a selfless manner. The 8th house is very much like that cave I described but its also a water house, What this means is that the changes are going to come and go. You will go through storms and periods of calm and happiness-your entire life. What happens many times is that when you are young you just know something-you feel destiny,and you act older then your years as a child. You know things that grown ups don’t want you to know. You understand human pain,but you are still to young to deal with it. Thats why a child with planets here would suppress this emotions. When a little older the intensity of the house manifests as a flood-all the water in the secret cave has to come out. The young person is run by desire to control or get rid of this emotions. This is dangerous and why this house gets a bad reputation. People at this stage use their power of intuition to control others. They do this out of pain not out of any evil desire. The 8th house wants to deal with the dark emotions of humanity but it doesn’t desire to hurt anyone. The person may self harm or become involved with wrong crowd.

The 8th house is “the wrong crowd”! These people understand pain and suffering. They tend to attract people that suffered or are mentally  unstable. At first this kind of involvement allows them to finally use their intuitive talent and to work with it to help others. the problem is that 8th house people are very “unstable” themselves. I mean it in a good way-they need time to clam down after the storm of emotions they live through. Thats why its best for them not to get involved with unstable people. Instead they can work or volunteer in a field such us: mental hospitals, criminal rehabilitation programs, police force, rehab etc…The 8th house makes great worrier and fighters for a cause-but not leaders. for some reason like the ocean  the public favor of this people falls and rises in a very unpredictable manner. Luckily, the 8th house likes to be behind the scenes anyway. When they get older the storms will be few and the power and lessons learned would be many.

This people have presence when they walk into a room and something about them makes them very attractive. They are attractive in the same way a African  lion is attractive to us humans: They know they are powerful but can contain it and spare you your life. If they learn to use their gifts to give others but also not to self abuse-they are the most beautiful souls you will ever meet.

Giving trust is hard for the 8th house and trust is the biggest gift from this people. If you love an 8th house person know that is the greatest gift, because this might as well mean they would die for you. The 8th house likes to keep things behind the scenes so don’t expect them to say things openly.

They like to speak with their eyes or better- with sex. This is a sexual house and sex is one of the only places where this people feel free and at home. This is the place where they rule! And the world is lucky for that. But what the 8th house really wants and searches for is the spiritual experience -that peace and wholeness. They know very little of that peace and they learn to appreciate  it and  find it in the strangest of places. They may use sex and money, two fields they are lucky to be naturally compatible with. But that wont make them happy, the 8th house wants to take the soul into that light they can see in glimpses from the dark cave . they want the waters to take them out into the open. And the tide is nothing else but the emotion of love.
