Matthew Macconaughey is an American actor, born on November 4th 1969. He is well known for roles in romantic comedies  such as: The Wedding Planner 2001, How to Lose a Guy In 10 Days 2003.and in Dramatic roles in The Lincoln Lawyer 2011, Interstellar 2014 and the acclaimed Dallas Buyers Club 2013.

Mcconaghy started enjoying great success later in his career, before that he studied in the University of Texas where he majored in communications and wanted to continue and study law. His breakthrough role was in Dazed and Confused 1992 and after a few roles in lighthearted comedies, he begin staring in much more dramatic roles.

Matthew is a Scorpio with a Virgo moon and Gemini Ascendant. The Gemini rising sign might explain why he kept being cast as a romantic playboy in comedies in his early career. I if didn’t know this person was a actor I would suggest they become a doctor, awyer or detective. Someone that can break things down in order to build them better- this can be the Law or the human body. But then you see that he has his MC in Aquarius and this changes things. People with this placement tend to need freedom in their career. If look at the Venus and Jupiter in Libra in this context. It is evident that this is someone that values individuality as part of their philosophy of life. Venus speaks of our values Jupiter of our beliefs and here the theme of partnership is evident. It has been a surprising discovery but one I am very sure of. Venus in Capricorn results in some very bad aesthetic preferences. What is Venus in Capricorn? It is all the blond wigs, fake nails, skimpy clothes and slutty looks, overflowing with vulgarity at its best. And yet, this is a good placement in a chart that does promise success in artistic fields and in a career in general.


Maybe this explains why how biggest stars in music look a little vulgar. But joking aside, this is indeed a very interesting phenomenon. What is happening here? My theory is that Venus as the planet of values, is overworked by the workaholic Capricorn. The result is a striving for beauty that is completely superficial and exaggerated. The Capricorn wants a good result-he invests in what society considers beautiful but without looking to see the reasons behind it. This investment can look almost clown-like as a result. It is not that it is unattractive-in fact these individuals are naturally beautiful!


They make themselves ugly but they can not see it! Venus is clouded by the judgment of Capricorn and it can not always measure beauty. Unlike the Libra or Taurus: this placement results in a completely unbalanced view of beauty and proportion. In taking all that society at a given moment considers stylish, sexy, popular but without matching it to any value of substance. This is the definition of vulgarity. To make matters worse-the Capricorn is a sign of the past-the conventions long gone. So this is the girl that still thinks that the Pamela Anderson look is in style.
In man this placement results in them liking that look I just described-they like woman that look “cheap” (think the movie Pretty Woman). In women, a lack of taste is strong-and yet they manage to be sexy to most. For this placement doesn’t lack confidence in love and in their own attractiveness…Perhaps sadly so.


The real problem is in the fact that at heart, these individuals are very conservative as they appear. And so they attract the wrong kind of attention and relationship and even abuse. The men don’t understand why they end up with a woman that they don’t want to marry or be loyal in the traditional sense. The women don’t know why they are not taken seriously and why they attract the wrong people. Sexually speaking, this sign tends to adopt all the dirt and scary aspect of sex. But they don’t enjoy it-they only play the part. I don’t mean to say they are sexually intense like the Scorpio or even Aries. Rather they play a part they think others would like: But what the majority likes happens to be bad taste.

The 8th house is the house of rebirth. Ruled by Scorpio it has all the mysterious characteristics of Pluto associated with it.This is not an easy house for any planet to be in,and yet its very powerful. This placement is like a dark cave,a deep pit with no light. Its an underground placement,so any planet is basically dropped and hidden in the 8th house. A planet no matter the sign that is in the 8th is going to be a “secret”. The potential and the true character is going to be very private and very confusing. Why confusing? mainly because at first it is hidden from you! As you grow older and wiser you would slowly unravel and reveal your own secret self. The planet would show you where you would have to change and grow.

The change through the 8th house is the kind the asks you to die. You must die in order to be reborn, your soul must rise form the dark cave that contains many  desires . Like those of the 8th house: Money,sex and control over others. Then the soul must be born again in a selfless manner. The 8th house is very much like that cave I described but its also a water house, What this means is that the changes are going to come and go. What happens many times is that when you are young you just know something-you feel destiny,and you act older then your years as a child. You know things that grown ups don’t want you to know. You understand human pain,but you are still to young to deal with it. Thats why a child with planets here would suppress this emotions. When a little older the intensity of the house manifests as a flood-all the water in the secret cave has to come out. The young person is run by desire to control or get rid of this emotions. This is dangerous and why this house gets a bad reputation. People at this stage use their power of intuition to control others. They do this out of pain not out of any evil desire. The 8th house wants to deal with the dark emotions of humanity but it doesn’t desire to hurt anyone. The person may self harm or become involved with wrong crowd.

The 8th house is “the wrong crowd”! These people understand pain and suffering. They tend to attract people that suffered or are mentally  unstable. At first this kind of involvement allows them to finally use their intuitive talent and to work with it to help others. the problem is that 8th house people are very “unstable” themselves. I mean it in a good way-they need time to clam down after the storm of emotions they live through. Thats why its best for them not to get involved with unstable people. Instead they can work or volunteer in a field such us: mental hospitals, criminal rehabilitation programs, police force, rehab etc…The 8th house makes great worrier and fighters for a cause-but not leaders. for some reason like the ocean  the public favor of this people falls and rises in a very unpredictable manner. Luckily, the 8th house likes to be behind the scenes anyway. When they get older the storms will be few and the power and lessons learned would be many.

This people have presence when they walk into a room and something about them makes them very attractive. They are attractive in the same way a African  lion is attractive to us humans: They know they are powerful but can contain it and spare you your life. If they learn to use their gifts to give others but also not to self abuse-they are the most beautiful souls you will ever meet.

Giving trust is hard for the 8th house and trust is the biggest gift from this people. If you love an 8th house person know that is the greatest gift, because this might as well mean they would die for you. The 8th house likes to keep things behind the scenes so don’t expect them to say things openly.

They like to speak with their eyes or better- with sex. This is a sexual house and sex is one of the only places where this people feel free and at home. This is the place where they rule! And the world is lucky for that. But what the 8th house really wants and searches for is the spiritual experience -that peace and wholeness. How Astrology Can Make Your Life Better

Astrology can make your life better if used in the right way. I stand behind that completely and I find it to be true.This blog has been a very simple and light drawing of astrology, simply because is very hard to go in depth in such a format and without any “real’ person in front of you. And because its more fun to talk about music and pop stars, isn’t it?

Astrology is a combination of science and intuition and only a good balance between the two gives the best results. I have no interest in proving astrology is real, I think its  a waste of time. At most I’ll say it’s a set of symbolic tools to explain a psychological profile of a person. Real astrology is very complicated and I’m still learning everyday and will keep learning all my life. But what I do know is it can make things better for a person. Why? Because self understanding leads to growth. When you understand the worst and the best about yourself and others then you can grow and change. It’s not always pleasant to view your shadow, but its necessary if you want to avoid the same traps over and over in your life. Self understanding leads to compassion! You can forgive yourself and others  more easily. You understand that everyone has different needs. Instead of liking or disliking others you try to see how they can become more happy and fulfilled.

Isn’t that beautiful? To see how we all are different and one and the same? This doesn’t mean there is no evil in the world or in people. But that evil can be avoided and turned into good. The worst impulse in a person can be their strongest point.  The pain can be a source of creativity, love and giving. You can see this in the aspects of any natal chart. The trine which is the easy “good'” aspect between planets doesn’t lead anywhere, why change that which is good? But the Square that creates drama, pain and difficulty can show where a person will succeed most later in life! You see how delicate and amazing astrology can be?

And because I’m only a person, one among many. I see and understand astrology in my own way and others see it differently. Astrology is like life there is no one simple answer but instead an endless amount of questions and answers that one can research all their lives. I can add my own view where happiness, compassion, love play a big part, I want others to be happy. But most of all I want them become brave and face themselves and find real freedom.

So read you birth chart. Study it as if you are looking in a mirror and you will be amazed at what you see. Unlike a mirror you natal chart is going to show you more than your physical beauty. You will be able to look deep inside and see something that is beyond. Beyond the face you show family and friends and beyond your hardships, towards truth and happiness.

I want to touch briefly on a very complicated subject,that of spirituality as seen in individual signs.

We tend to think the spiritual is apposed to the material world. Its that which is beyond the illusion of the body and the daily life,right? If so then the spiritual signs are the ones that transcend the illusion through intuition. Perhaps the ones that hold faith and devotion on a emotional and not rational level? I agree its true that some signs symbolize this type of ability. For example,water signs are considered to be more spiritual then others.

Pisces,Scorpio,Cancer are all more able to tap into the dream world. They are more emotional then the other signs and are ruled by feelings and passions. we will get back to the problem there later. Next,the earth signs are considered the most grounded in the “real world” so to speak. They see the world through the senses and the body and therefore they are seen as least spiritual. The fire signs come next-they are doers that want power. Air signs are somewhere in between for they are not ruled by the body or the heart,instead they have the mind to guide them. Of course this is all a very simplistic view but I’m sure many hold it without thought at times.

I would like to point out that this is all a complete myth! and ill explain why.

I believe no sign is better or worse but instead different. Everyone is spiritual,we all hold that spark inside but how we reach it in our lives is the difference. The water signs,those personalties that are “feelers” may indeed feel and receive daily little visions of something more.a world beyond even. But being so emotional they do not always even understand what they experience or feel. If anything such people are so sensitive that they become confused or agitated.

Sensitive people feel and know things but they are also get more easily unbalanced. So there is a strong tendency when young for sensitive people (symbolized by water signs) to shut themselves of. When this happens then all the spiritual or intuitive ability is asleep.

And that OK,it takes time to learn how to experience many feelings and deal with them in a healthy way. I would also like to point out that by closing themselves of,signs like Cancer tend to do less in the world. So no amount of wanting to make the world a better place is going to help. To make the world better-someone needs to do something and be out there to change it! And the dreamy Pisces isn’t going to do that. He would flow on into India or to the closest bar.

Air signs,though more rational and less inclined to be conservative and religious. Are at least more capable to holding on to morals and high ideals and doing something about them. The problem is they do tend to be skeptic and they like to argue too much. So the Gemini may argue about his ideals until he is bleeding but thats where it ends.   Another problem is that Air signs get bored very fast. What can be helpful is for them to have a community around them that holds their beliefs. In which case the Air signs will become great spiritual leaders of the group.

The fire signs,are surprisingly spiritual in a more conservative way. And they are more likely to do something even if their faith isn’t strong-they believe in a cause or a moral value. Their problem is they might not see the needs of others,in other words the ego is too strong. But that more then OK! they can channel that ego into action for the masses and leadership.

The earth signs are very practical and very sensual. They can experience spirituality through the material world and the body (think Tantra). They are also very loyal to their values to the point of stubborn. They have the ability to act but not burn out too fast and without needing a big audience. And through the senses they are connected to the real world and can channel the spiritual into the earthy reality around them!

Today’s post is going to be a little different and even a bit more personal perhaps. Love is something we all need and want and today I want to talk about that. When we think of love,we think about that person that can complete us and love us as we love them. Everyones definition of love is different but we all agree its a positive thing. I agree love is the most beautiful experience we humans can have. But  I also think love can be confused with passion,need,fear,attraction,you see the dangers here? from an astrological point of view this is even more evident. We all have deep emotional needs and just by looking at your moon placement this needs can be revealed to you. But is the person that is going to fulfill this need be the right one for you? not necessarily. You can fall in love and have a great connection with someone but that doesn’t promise a lasting and healthy relationship for you both. So when looking at your birth chart look at it as a whole not just the Moon,Venus or Mars. When a friend asked me once to tell her if she had a future with a boyfriend I realized how important it is to see the whole picture. she is a beautiful cancer sun with Libra moon and rising and her loved one a Scorpio sun. That was all the information I had about him. So I decided to rely on her chart alone and talk to her about her needs and patterns in relationships. In other words,love calls for self understanding more then compatibility with any zodiac sign. If you know who you are then you can build a relationship that lasts and makes you happy. Instead of looking for someone to complete you,be complete on your own. Love should be two people adding more to each others whole and growing better and stronger together. What about passion you ask? attractions is like a primitive compass towards a person that could be good for you. A woman with Mars in Aries would like man that acts like and Aries. Dido,a unique singer with her own individual recognizable voice. Her songs speak of love,freedom and devotion, but what kind of love? I know completely nothing of her personal life but through reading the birth chart and her music Ill try to paint a picture.Dido is a Capricorn but by now you know how misleading the sun sign can be! She does not sing about the Capricorian kind of relationship where stability and honor play the highest part. No,instead she speaks of a spiritual love:

Her songs contain a devoted kind of love but also anguish and sensitivity. For most people her songs- even the sad ones, have a positive message. Why? perhaps because of the sensitivity and humility in the lyrics as well as the gentle way she presents herself.  Dido has her Mars in Pisces and Venus in Aquarius,together this combination is just what I described.

Mars in Pisces are not action takers,they are very sensitive in the way they present themselves and at times even passive. This placement in a female chart shows us that she likes man that are quite,gentle dreamers. She supports this sensitive man in their difficulty to face the “real practical world” and as a Capricorn she is more then capable of doing this. Venus in Aquarius is also the kind to choose spiritual or intellectual kind of love over the sensual. She is the one to sacrifice herself for love-if the love meets her ideal. the ideal is freedom!

I’m a big fan of Marina and the Diamonds,why? she is all about clever lyrics masked in pop and covered in the sugary archetype of the modern female. Like in her album Electra Heart where she tries on different masks and persona’s. From the Teen Idle blond too the home wrecker. So I’m more then excited about FROOT and hearing something new.

Froot,is a sexy bold super sugary disco single with smart lyrics. But its not without depth,I think. If you read the lyrics you have to appreciate how smart they are and how maybe they mask something more. Like the circle of life and how love and romance need to be tended too so they don’t wither and die. We forget that,but talking about sex and love in metaphors of fruit and flowers isn’t silly,

We care so much about beauty and harmony that we work a great deal at creating it in a artificial manner. In other words we are walking photo-shoppers in real life.

A Libra rising person is attractive and charming in social situations in a group or a setting that requires following a set of behaviors. we don’t present ourselves as well in big crowds or aggressive vulgar situations. People see the Libra as someone that has got it all together, charming and attractive.

Behind all this beauty and charm is one big mess that is the personal life of this Libra rising. The reason for this is that we tend to mask out own issues instead of dealing with them by sharing them with others.
